Landau Residence
This residence designed for the CEO of a high-end real estate marketing group was located in an older high rise tower. The project required a full renovation eliminating all the old down to the studs and replacing it with new modern luxuries. The low concrete ceilings produced one of the largest challenges to work with. To create an elusion of higher ceilings in the kitchen small light fixtures were used and we created an artistic ceiling in the kitchen that concealed the mechanical system of air ducts and wiring. The unit featured a chocolate brown leather accent wall to add texture and height in the space. Horizontal elements of the gray oak kitchen cabinets created the illusion of a longer space. The bedrooms vertical wood with white glass closet doors helped the room feel taller. The color scheme was selected based on the clients’ desire for a sophisticated cutting edge contemporary look; yet also feel very natural, warm and welcoming. |
